These Terms and Conditions apply to the French courses offered by International House Nice (IH Nice), with the exception of OFII courses, which are subject to specific specifications, as well as any related services such as cultural activities or outings. These courses and related services are purchased by the client, either directly from the school or via a third party or agent. By paying for all or part of the service, the client accepts without reservation these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Internal Regulations of IH Nice.
The French courses at International House Nice are aimed at students aged 16 and over. Please note that minors are subject to special conditions.
There are several ways for customers to register: on site, by email or telephone, but also directly via our website www.ihnice.com
A student is only considered registered after completing a registration form and returning it to the school with a deposit of 450 euros. (If the total sum of the student's courses is less than 450 euros, they will have to pay the full amount). If the student chooses accommodation in a residence or hotel, the deposit must be 450 euros for the courses and an additional 500 euros for the accommodation. Registration will not be considered until the deposit has been paid.
For students living outside the EU who require a letter of invitation for their visa application, the initial deposit will be €1000. The letter of invitation will only be issued to the student once the €100 deposit has been paid. The letter of confirmation will then be sent to them together with an invoice.
After payment of the deposit, the balance must be paid before the start of the course or, for customers who wish to pay on site, by the first day of the course at the latest.
- Bank card: customers can pay by bank card on the site or at our premises. Please note that for any card payment via our website, a €5 bank charge will be added to the amount of the service.
- Bank transfer: Please note that bank charges are payable by the customer.

4) CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
In the event of cancellation before the start of the course, the amount paid will be refunded minus €200 for administrative costs. For this, the school must receive the cancellation request at least 15 days before the start of the course. If the refund request is made less than 15 days before the start of the course, it will not be refunded but the client will keep this amount in the form of credit that can be used for another course at International House Nice for a period of 2 years.
Any course that has already started will not be refunded.
In the event of a visa refusal, the applicant must send us an official refusal document provided by the French consulate in order to receive a refund of the €1000 deposit minus €200 in administrative fees, i.e. €800. Without this document, no refund will be possible.
In the event of cancellation of the stay, the student's accommodation costs will be refunded minus the amount of the first week (for students staying with a host family or in a Nexity studio). For other types of accommodation, refunds will depend on the provider's cancellation conditions.
International House Nice is not obliged to make up for public holidays, and will not offer a discount to students whose stay includes a public holiday. Absences from classes will not be made up for, except in the case of illness and upon presentation of a medical certificate to the secretariat.
Interruptions of several days/weeks during the courses may be made up for if the dates are communicated to the school's academic management at least one week in advance.
A group is made up of at least three students. If there is no group corresponding to a student's language level, the number of lessons will be reduced by 50%.
Excursions and social activities are not included in the costs (with the exception of course + activity packages). If the school wishes to offer outings or activities to its students on a frequent basis, it reserves the right not to organise anything if the conditions are not right (few students, unfavourable weather conditions, lack of staff to supervise, etc.).
The International House Nice team may take photos or videos of students and use them in its information and communication documents. On arrival, each student will be given an image rights form on which they must authorise or refuse the school's use of photos or videos of them.
The personal information of students (such as their surname, first name, age, nationality, or contact information) that they are asked to provide for registration is only transmitted to natural or legal persons who are expressly authorised to have access to it.
All students may ask International House Nice to disclose the information concerning them and to have it corrected if necessary, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, files and freedoms.
The centre processes personal data in order to manage registrations, monitor students' progress and provide any services for which students have registered.
Personal data is kept for the time strictly necessary for the management of services and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
In accordance with the GDPR, each student has the right to access, rectify, delete, oppose, limit the processing and portability of their personal data. To exercise these rights, please send an email to the following address: info@ihnice.com
IH Nice implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal data.
In the event of a dispute concerning data processing, it is possible to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés).
All students are strongly advised to take out comprehensive medical and personal insurance (illness, accident, hospitalisation, cancellation, etc.) to cover their stay in France, as well as civil liability insurance. IH Nice cannot be held responsible for accidents caused by students during their stay, whether on the premises, outside the premises or in their accommodation (e.g. host family).
In case of a problem, students can fill in this complaint form and send it to us (school reception, via email: info@ihnice.com). A school representative will contact you quickly to find a solution.
If no amicable solution can be found, any dispute concerning these general terms and conditions will be brought before the Commercial Court of Nice.
